What Are You Playing?

It's been a while since we've done one of these... because... well, it's been a while since there's been any notable releases as the stale period of summer releases was upon us. However, this is now gradually lifting and some big titles are on their way out. This week's highly anticipated release is, of course, Borderlands 2! There's also a good release for you virtual petrol heads out there - F1 2012!

This is what I will inevitably be spending all my time on this weekend! I'll probably be playing as a Siren for a dedicated co-op playthrough, and maybe the Gunzerker for a "Whenever I feel like a bash" campaign. I expect that all of you will already know what Borderlands 2 is, so I won't waste your time explaining the concept. Guns and Loot, that's all you need to know. Lots of gun. Lots of loot. Simple.

As an aside, this brings me to think about Aliens: Colonial Marines again, another 4-player co-op shooter from Gearbox. Set in the Aliens universe as the title implies, this sees your squad of 4 marines visiting LV-246 and getting thoroughly destroyed by the sharp, slimy creatures. I mention this only because I first read about this approximately 1 year before the release of the original Borderlands. With two games and many years to perfect their 4-player co-op shooting mechanic, I look forward to this game an incredible amount. I'll even be playing it through with my Dad... I hope he isn't shocked by the language that can be spurted out during the undoubtedly tense encounters that will occur.

So, after that little digression.. what are you playing this weekend? If you're playing Borderlands 2, what class will you be playing primarily?

Just started saving for my Wiiu so my game budget kind of dried up. At the moment Transformers FOC is in my 360 and is pretty awesome. I'm going to start on Binary Domain next too, I was told it's a great game and for a tenner thought it would be worth a shot.

Well I'm gonna have to say, Bordedlands 2 does seem very attractive at the moment, and I will definately give it a go... Since the weekend passed, and a new week is on the rise, I think I'll just stick to LoL and C9 for the time being. And if I ever get the urge for an adrenaline shot, there's always Slender, SCP, Amnesia... Or a game of Dead Island with some friends :)

I've just been hammering through Assassin's Creed for the first time. Bought the first three of them on the cheap a while back and just getting to them. After I've beat those I hope to finally get through Halo 3, 3 ODST, Reach and the 2 Dead Space games all in the next few weeks or so.

Borderlands 1 was an absolutely UNDER RATED game in my eyes with its brilliant artistic visuals and fluent co-op play and im so glad they publicized 2 as much as they have because is no doubt will be awsome to play, it's also fell in nicely just before the release of Fifa as well which always helps.

Me personally will wait till Fifa 13 to come out and you watch Borderlands drop in price $$$ :D $$$

Iv gone and jumpped on the hype yesterday and purchase the early access for Fifa so currently playing that, wont say much because i might right up on it for you guys if your interested.

I managed to get on over my bank by further extending my bulging overdraft to buy F1 2012 on Steam. I would say up yours HSBC but they will cane me with charges so they win in the end. Would have bought Borderlands 2 as well but at that point HSBC woke up and declined the payment. So I will be playing F1 2012...and I don't even really like F1 but I do like driving games and its a very good one. Also looking forward to Colonial Marines just so I can do my Hudson impression "Game over maaannn, game ooover".

For me it has to be Risen 2. I went in to GameStation after something a little different and ended up buying a Pirate RPG and I have to say after a hour slow start I'm bloody in love and have clocked up 18 hours play already.

I'm playing Borderlands 2, playing as Zer0, his deception skill is a bit of a fars because F activates the cloak and v is melee wich is kinda awkward finger placement for someone as new to pc gaming as me and when i use my thumb i end up hitting space and swinging the sword as i jump, its a good thing i'm a fairly decent sniper at borderlands compared to my snipe sills in other fps'. Also on a side note, I can't wait for colonial marines, I have a big nerd boner for the aliens franchise.
