Money from Broken Sword might mean a Beneath the Steel Sky 2

Revolution Software wanted to make a new Broken Sword, but didn’t want to go down the path of finding an evil Publisher who will take some of the profits and also try and steer the direction of the game.

Instead they turned to us, the gamers and asked for $400,000 on kickstarter. I myself have already thrown money at my screen while screaming take my money. Its great to see they have already shot past their goal and made $517,075 with 9 days still left to go.

Now Revolution Software have passed their target they are now talking about “Stretch Goals”, they go on to talk about how they now plan to have the game on iPad, Android Tablets, Linux as well as the normal PC version. The thing I found more interesting is on their latest update video they talk a little about using the “Stretch Goal” money to green light Beneath the Steel Sky 2, he goes on to say this is not set in stone yet but even if the stretch money doesn't help it green light, they still want to making it.

So very good news for Point n Click fans like myself.

All these Kick-starter projects are the way forward for smaller developers and shows the creator's what the wider audience actually want and are will to pay for....
